Elliot Hulse is on my Mount Rushmore of people who helped me out when I was going through the worst of my depression. Here Elliot does a great job of describing how to block out negativity. It’s not easy but you can do it.
I believe you should also shield yourself from unnecessary negativity for a while. Quit looking at the news, unfollow (or even unfriend) drama people on social media, and replace that put with positivity.
